Job Summary: We are seeking a qualified and experienced Cable Laying Supervisor with 2 to 3 years of relevant experience in supervising cable laying projects for power or telecom infrastructure. The ideal candidate will hold a B.Tech or Diploma in Electronics and will be responsible for overseeing the safe and efficient installation, testing, and maintenance of underground or overhead cables, ensuring project timelines, quality standards, and safety protocols are met. Key Responsibilities: Supervision & Coordination: Lead and manage teams of cable laying technicians and workers on-site. Allocate daily tasks and ensure proper execution of work as per drawings and plans. Coordinate with project engineers, contractors, and other stakeholders. Technical Oversight: Oversee the laying, pulling, and installation of fiber optic, copper, or electrical cables in trenches, ducts, or conduits. Supervise splicing, termination, and testing activities as needed. Ensure proper use of equipment such as cable pulling machines, trenchers, and cable testers. Planning & Reporting: Review and interpret cable layout drawings, trenching maps, and specifications. Monitor project progress, material usage, and daily productivity. Maintain documentation and submit daily work progress reports to the project manager. Quality & Safety Compliance: Enforce adherence to safety protocols and PPE usage on-site. Conduct inspections to ensure quality of work meets industry standards and specifications. Identify and resolve on-site issues or escalate as necessary.
