Job Description Job Role: Shift Superintendent - CTU SECTION I: BASIC INFORMATION ABOUT THE JOB ROLE Job Role Variant: Shift Superintendent - Electrical Manager Job Position: Production Manager Plant Value Stream: Asset Operations Job Family: Manufacturing SECTION II: PURPOSE OF THE ROLE Operation & Maintenance of 400kV / 220kV GIS Operation & Maintenance of 400kV AIS and electrical elements Co-ordination with regulatory team / RLDCs for day to day interactions / power scheduling Operation & Maintenance of Power transformers 500MVA/250 MVA Sound knowledge of Protection systems and relay co-ordination Power system parameter control through the adjustment of active and reactive power Understanding of tie line control system Understanding of synchronization of captive power system with grid and its control Hands on experience of Numerical relays Knowledge in SCADA operations and Disturbance records analysis Knowledge about LV switchgears, UPS, Batteries, Battery chargers, DG sets Understanding of grid disturbance and its effect on captive power system Basis understanding of Firefighting and F&G system SECTION III: KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES OF THE ROLE Responsibilities Policies, Processes and Procedures Conduct day to day activities & follow all relevant policies, processes, standard operating procedures and instructions so that work is carried out in a controlled and consistent manner Keep self abreast with leading practices & trends and contribute to the identification of continuous improvement of systems, processes and procedures Develop test procedures and formats; Standardize and implement best practices and group guidelines for electrical equipment improvement Compliance & Documentation Prepare documentation related to compliance audit and support in ensuring adherence to statutory, CSM and HSE compliance, including RESOP, DOSHE, CASHe, HSEF mandatory trainings, etc. Prepare repair and test records, MIS, and reporting documents related to electrical equipment maintenance and update the same in IMS in a timely manner SECTION IV: SUCCESS METRICS Time to resolution OEE (Overall equipment effectiveness) Reduction in unplanned shutdown Shutdown turn around time/ Mean time between failures Reduction in # of safety incidents SECTION V: OPERATING NETWORK Internal Human Resource, Administration, Workshop, Planning, Security, etc. External Vendor, Equipment Manufacturers, etc. SECTION VI: KNOWLEDGE AND COMPETENCIES Education Qualifications A Bachelor's degree in Engineering/ Technology (Electrical stream) or a Master's degree in Engineering/ Technology (Electrical stream) (Preferred) Experience Up to 5-7 years of experience for degree in Power Plant/ Electrical Substation.

Job Responsibilities : To carry out detailed engineering as per codes standards, statutory requirements and best engineering practices. To issue accurate deliverables such as Feasibility report, Cost Estimates, Drawing Reports, Troubleshooting & recommendations, procurement documents, vendor documents Review Report. Ensuring proposed schemes are safe, technically feasible, and economical Inspection and testing Detailed engineering (Piping, Equipment & Structural) as per codes standards, statutory requirements and best engineering practices. Creation of Spare part drawings for in house shop manufacturing, tendering and import substitution. Following all the procedures of QMS, EMS and ensure adherence to current practices. Maintaining QMS/EMS documents and records in electronic medium Ensuring Proper Job allocation based on available man power resources and priority of jobs. Engineering decisions during in-house detailed engineering. Engineering decision while working with external detailed engineering contractors for major jobs. Education Requirement : Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering Experience Requirement : Knowledge of Static Equipment Design Engineering and Piping Engineering. At least three years relevant experience of working in EPC field. Coordinate with contractors for deployment of their machinery in line with Safety compliances. Ensure deployment of rock breaker for mine development to get required Quality & Quantity of CLAY without over-shooting cost.
