Job Title : Manager – P&D (Solid Waste Processing and Disposal), Plant Incharge Location : Bathinda, Punjab Qualification : B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering Experience : 15–20 Years (Post-Qualification) Team Size : 7 Nos. Key Responsibilities Responsible for P&L (Profit & Loss) of the waste processing plant 1. Municipal Solid Waste Management • Oversee the mechanical and biological treatment (MBT) of municipal solid waste received from Bathinda Municipal Corporation. • Manage the treatment, scientific disposal, and residual waste processing. • Oversee daily activities of operators and laborers to maintain safety and operational efficiency. 2. Strategic Planning and Compliance • Develop and implement strategic business plans for the utilization and disposal of facility-generated products. • Ensure strict adherence to environmental compliances and regulatory frameworks. • Liaise with government authorities, including the Pollution Control Board (PCB) and Bathinda Municipal Corporation, for smooth facility operations. 3. Operational Excellence • Design and manage CAPEX and OPEX budgets. • Plan and optimize resources, including manpower, materials, and machinery, for efficient processing operations (operation and maintenance). • Supervise the development of microbial consortia for bio-drying, odor control composting, and leachate treatment through experimental design and implementation. 4. Product Marketing and Business Development • Strategize the marketing, sales, and supply chain management for compost and refuse-derived fuel (RDF). • Collaborate with the Pollution Control Borad PCB and Agriculture Department to facilitate the sale and distribution of compost. 5. Research and Development • Formulate and propagate bio-cultures for municipal solid waste (MSW) treatment. • Monitor the operational quality of city compost and oversee the quality control lab. 6. Stakeholder Coordination • Coordinate with Bhatinda Municipal Corporation to ensure consistent waste supply for plant operations. • Maintain strong communication with municipal, agricultural, and environmental stakeholders to ensure smooth facility functioning. This role requires a proactive leader with expertise in waste management, environmental compliance, and strategic planning.
