Job Description

Strong Core Java Proficiency:

• In-depth knowledge of java concepts like java Streams, Threads, Collections.• Advanced Proficiency in Java programming, including experience with Spring boot frameworks vs web services.• Should be aware of various java versions and key changes like java 8 Vs java 11 vs java 17 vs java 21 etc.

Strong on Setting Up Java Maven projects :

• Proficiency required in setting up java projects using maven or gradle and should be aware of BOM in pom.xml and should be able to handle version conflicts effectively through POM.xml.

Cloud Logging and Monitoring :• Should know how to configure logging in java projects and debugging and monitoring logs in GCP.

Apache Beam Expertise:• In-depth knowledge and hands-on experience with the Apache Beam programming model and its Java SDK.• Should be aware of building GCP dataflow pipelines in java using apache beam.• Also should know about streaming jobs vs Batch jobs and when to use them.

Google Cloud Platform (GCP) Experience:

• Proven experience with GCP services, particularly Dataflow, including BigQuery, Cloud Storage, Pub/Sub, and potentially other relevant services like Cloud SQL etc.• Also should be aware of barricade encryption and decryption utilities.Problem-Solving Skills:• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to diagnose and resolve complex data processing challenges.Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with team members and stakeholders.

Preferred Additional Qualifications:

• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices for deploying and managing Java code. Should be aware of setting up Jenkin pipelines for build and deployment.• Experience with real-time streaming analytics ,event-driven and batch processing architectures.
