About the Role

We’re looking for a Jira expert who understands how large-scale Jira environments behave not just at the project level, but across workflows, schemes, permission structures, and automation architectures.

In this role, you will evaluate AI systems performing Jira operations, annotate complex scenarios, diagnose configuration failures, and define standards for how Jira workflows should be interpreted and validated.

Responsibilities:

Advanced Evaluation & Annotation

• Annotate multi-step Jira operations, workflow transitions, and configuration behaviors for AI evaluation.
• Assess AI-generated actions for accuracy, permission compliance, and alignment with intended Jira behavior.
• Validate complex scenarios such as cross-project workflows, global schemes, automation cascades, and dependency chains.
• Identify subtle issues- field context mismatches, validator failures, scheme misalignment, or permission blockers.

Jira System Analysis

• Conduct deep reviews of project setups, workflow architecture, access models, and configuration dependencies.
• Evaluate system-wide relationships: issue type schemes, field configurations, screen mappings, workflow reuse patterns, and automation rules.
• Analyze enterprise-level Jira setups, including customizations, global settings, integrations, and scalability considerations.

Skills & Experience Required

• 5+ years

  of hands-on Jira Administration experience across enterprise environments.
• Expertise in designing and maintaining complex workflows, validators, conditions, and post-functions.
• Strong command of global/project-level schemes - issue types, workflows, permissions, screens, and fields.
• Ability to configure and debug automation rules with branching logic, triggers, and integrations.
• Skilled in building custom fields, optimizing field contexts, and managing configuration sprawl.
• JQL proficiency and board configuration experience (Scrum, Kanban, custom boards).
• Strong analytical ability to reverse-engineer workflows, diagnose issues, and document precise feedback.
