Jewellery Designer

Role & responsibilities:

I.

• Create original jewellery designs for collections, special orders, and seasonal launches.
• Research fashion trends, gemstone styles, and cultural influences to inspire new designs.
• Develop mood boards, sketches, CAD designs, and detailed drawings for production.

• Collaborate with production teams to ensure feasibility, quality, and cost-effectiveness.
• Select appropriate materials, gemstones, metals, and finishes for each design.
• Ensure designs comply with brand guidelines and market positioning.

III. Technical Coordination

• Prepare technical specifications and detailed design sheets for craftsmen.
• Review prototypes and suggest modifications for accuracy and quality.
• Work closely with CAD operators, model makers, and artisans to bring concepts to life.

IV

• Monitor local and international jewellery trends and adapt them for the target audience.
• Attend trade shows, exhibitions, and fashion events to gather inspiration and industry insights.

V. Quality & Brand Representation

• Ensure all designs reflect the brands identity and maintain consistent quality standards.
• Provide creative input for marketing campaigns, catalogues, and online showcases.

Preferred candidate profile:

• Bachelors degree / Diploma in Jewellery Design, or related field.
• 2 5 years of experience as a jewellery designer, preferably in a retail industry.
• Strong artistic and visualization skills with proficiency in CAD software (e.g., Rhino, Matrix, Jewel CAD).
• In-depth knowledge of gemstones, metals, and jewellery-making techniques.
• Good communication skills and the ability to work in a team.
• Multilingual skills are desirable (Business English, Tamil, Kannada, Telugu)
• Willing to travel across region.
• Age below 27
