JCB Technician

Job Title:

Job Summary:

A JCB Technician is responsible for carrying out maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair work on JCB machines and other heavy equipment. The role ensures proper functioning of machinery to minimize downtime and maintain operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

• Diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical faults in JCB equipment.
• Perform preventive maintenance as per schedule and manufacturer guidelines.
• Conduct inspections to identify issues and ensure machines meet safety standards.
• Replace or repair defective parts using hand tools, power tools, and testing instruments.
• Maintain service records, job cards, and reports.
• Assist in overhauling engines, transmissions, and hydraulic systems.
• Ensure proper handling of tools, equipment, and spare parts.
• Follow company policies, safety rules, and environmental guidelines.
• Provide technical support and guidance to operators regarding machine use and care.

Skills & Competencies:

• Strong knowledge of JCB machinery and construction equipment.
• Hands-on experience in hydraulic, mechanical, and electrical systems.
• Ability to use diagnostic tools and service manuals.
• Problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Good communication and reporting skills.

Qualifications & Experience:

• ITI/Diploma in Mechanical, Automobile, or related field.
• 3–5 years of experience as a Technician in heavy equipment/JCB service.
• Certification or training from JCB (preferred).
