Java Support engineer

Job Responsibilities:

• Provide

  L1 production support

  for Java-based applications.
• Monitor application health, logs, and alerts; escalate issues as needed.
• Perform

  incident management

  and resolve basic technical issues within defined SLAs.
• Support bug fixes, minor enhancements, and code deployments.
• Collaborate with development and L2/L3 support teams for issue resolution.
• Maintain documentation for incidents, fixes, and recurring issues.
• Ensure smooth functioning of applications and minimal downtime.

Required Skills & Experience:

• Strong knowledge of

  Core Java, J2EE

  basics.
• Familiarity with

  SQL queries

  and relational databases (Oracle/MySQL).
• Good understanding of

  application servers (Tomcat/WebLogic/JBoss)

  .
• Basic knowledge of

  Unix/Linux commands

  for log monitoring.
• Exposure to

  incident tracking tools

  like ServiceNow, JIRA, or similar.
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and analytical skills.

Qualification:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field.
• 3 years of experience in

  Java support/development
