About the Role

We’re seeking a Senior Java Microservices Architect (8+ years) to lead the discovery phase of a large-scale cloud modernization program. The role focuses on assessing legacy systems, defining the new architecture, and planning the migration roadmap for a scalable, secure, and cloud-native platform.

Key Responsibilities

Lead the architecture assessment and discovery of the existing legacy codebase.

Define cloud-native microservices architecture using modern frameworks and best practices.

Create the target architecture blueprint, API contracts, and integration models.

Work closely with business stakeholders to align technical design with functional objectives.

Conduct POCs and architecture validations to de-risk future implementation.

Establish standards for DevOps, CI/CD, observability, and security.

Provide technical mentorship and oversee early-stage build decisions.

Technical Skills

Languages & Frameworks: Java 11+, Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, REST APIs

Architecture Patterns: Microservices, DDD, Event-Driven Architecture, CQRS

Cloud Platforms: AWS / Azure / GCP (any one major platform)

Databases: PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Redis

Messaging: Kafka, RabbitMQ, or equivalent

DevOps Tools: Docker, Kubernetes, Jenkins, Terraform, GitHub Actions

Security: OAuth2, JWT, SSO, encryption, and secure API design

Monitoring: Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, or similar observability stack
