Java Manager

Role Overview: As a Java Manager at Fiserv, your role will involve understanding a broad range of application and product architecture. You will work closely with internal and external stakeholders, articulating solutions from both business and technical perspectives. Your responsibilities will include leading and overseeing application design and engineering standards across multiple workstreams, managing implementation throughout the project lifecycle, from requirements gathering to deployment. Key Responsibilities: - Understand a wide range of distributed and cloud technologies and expertly integrate and configure them - Demonstrate expertise in technologies such as Cloud, Containerisation, Microservices, Kafka, Java/JavaScript, Quarkus/Spring, XML/JSON, Apigee/Mulesoft, ESB/Datapower, distributed databases Postgres/Yugabtye, HTML5, CSS3, MVC, Angular JS, React, Mobile and Application Middleware, PhoneGap/ IOS/Android SDKs, CI/CD, etc. - Possess strong knowledge of mobile and web app security concepts, performance tuning, automated testing techniques, high availability engineering, and database technologies - Understand cryptography, key management, security solutions, security protocols, and cryptography principles - Stay updated on emerging technologies and understand how they relate to business needs - Collaborate effectively with team members and customers to solve problems and build relationships - Engage in functional and technical specifications, coding, testing, and application support - Experience in agile/scrum and waterfall life cycle application development - Mentor and lead teams of 40 or more Qualifications Required: - Bachelor's Degree in College of Engineering and Technology or equivalent work experience - Minimum of 16 years of related IT experience, managing, architecting, designing, and deploying enterprise-level business or technical applications - Strong analytical ability, communication, and interpersonal skills - Excellent understanding of application development technologies, tools, methodologies, and functional areas in an IT organization (Note: The "What would be great to have" section is omitted as it was not provided in the job description) Role Overview: As a Java Manager at Fiserv, your role will involve understanding a broad range of application and product architecture.
