Job Description

Job Summary

We are seeking a Java Developer with hands-on experience in migrating enterprise applications from IBM WebSphere to an open-source Java stack deployed on Kubernetes. The ideal candidate will be passionate about modernization, containerization, and cloud-native development Responsibilities :

Assist in migrating Java/JEE applications from IBM WebSphere to open-source Java frameworks like Spring Boot or Jakarta EE.
Refactor legacy codebases to be compatible with microservices and containerized environments.
Develop, deploy, and maintain applications on Kubernetes using Docker, Helm, and CI/CD pipelines.
Optimize application performance and reliability in a containerized setup.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including DevOps, Cloud, and QA to ensure seamless deployment and integration.
Participate in code reviews, documentation, and technical discussions to ensure best Skills :
3+ years of Java/JEE development experience
Strong knowledge of IBM WebSphere application server
Hands-on experience with Spring Boot or Jakarta EE
Proficiency with Docker and Kubernetes
Experience with RESTful APIs, Maven/Gradle, and Git
Familiarity with CI/CD tools like Jenkins or GitLab Skills :
Experience in application modernization/migration projects
Knowledge of Helm, Prometheus, and Grafana
Exposure to cloud platforms like AWS, GCP, or Azure
Understanding of 12-factor app Qualification : Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
