As we now, established our Local subsidary Taisei India Private Limited in Mumbai.

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Japanese Translator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have native or near-native fluency in both Japanese and usually English and a strong understanding of cultural nuances. This role involves translating a variety of materials, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and cultural appropriateness. The Translator will play a crucial role in facilitating communication and understanding between our company and our Japanese-speaking clients/partners/audience.

Responsibilities:

• Translate written materials from Japanese to [Target Language] and vice versa, including (but not limited to):

1. Documents (e.g., technical, legal, marketing, financial)

1. Correspondence

1. Subtitles/Voiceovers

• Proofread and edit translated materials to ensure accuracy, clarity, and fluency.
• Maintain consistency in terminology and style across all translated materials.
• Research and understand the target audience and cultural context to ensure appropriate language and tone.
• Collaborate with other team members (e.g., project managers, editors, subject matter experts) to ensure project deadlines are met.
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in translation.
• Manage translation projects and prioritize tasks effectively.
• Contribute to the development of translation glossaries and style guides.
• Adapt and localize content for specific cultural contexts.
• May be required to provide interpretation services (simultaneous or consecutive). (If applicable)

Qualifications:

• Native fluency in both Japanese and English.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both languages, including the local language
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, & Linguistics, Japanese Studies, or a related field preferred. (Or equivalent experience)
• Proven experience as a Japanese Translator (10) years.
• Strong understanding of Japanese culture and customs.
