Japanese Translator

Translate technical, business, legal, or general documents between Japanese and [English/Other Language] with high accuracy. Interpret during meetings, conference calls, or presentations (verbal interpretation optional based on role). Proofread and edit translated materials to ensure consistency, clarity, and cultural appropriateness. Work closely with cross-functional teams (e.g., Engineering, HR, Marketing, Legal) to understand context and terminology. Maintain and update translation memory tools, glossaries, and style guides. Ensure deadlines are met while maintaining high-quality output. Handle sensitive or confidential information with discretion and professionalism. Proficiency in Japanese and [English/Other language] (both written and spoken). Certification in Japanese Language Proficiency Test (JLPT) N1 or N2 preferred. Proven experience as a translator or interpreter (minimum 2-3 years preferred). Strong attention to detail and excellent grammar and proofreading skills. Familiarity with CAT (Computer-Assisted Translation) tools is a plus. Good organizational and time management skills. Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
