As the Data Governance Manager reporting into the Enterprise Data Enablement function within the Operations of the London Stock Exchange Group (LSEG), you will play a crucial role in leading and managing people, processes, and technology to efficiently implement and operationalize the Enterprise Data Governance Program. Your responsibilities will include developing and implementing a policy framework to enhance data management capabilities, thereby enabling LSEG to deliver improved products and services. Your primary focus will be to act as a subject matter expert in data governance, institutionalize and implement the data governance framework, and drive adoption across LSEG. You will work towards building and refining Data Governance capabilities while ensuring alignment with strategic priorities and development of data governance as a service for businesses and corporate functions. Key Responsibilities: - Act as a Manager and SME on data governance to improve efficiencies, reduce risks, identify business opportunities, and support the LSEG mission - Drive the enterprise data governance adoption roadmap and develop the data governance operating model - Serve as a business partner to promote the adoption of data governance best practices - Define and implement policies, standards, and governance metrics while supporting related tools - Liaise between Divisions and supporting services to ensure clear communication of data-related business requirements - Chair relevant forums and implement data governance principles across the organization - Support compliance with operational regulatory requirements and contribute to the development of data management capabilities - Partner with other leaders to satisfy business priorities and capture use cases and requirements - Develop internal content to train the business in embracing data governance principles - Manage staff at various levels and review the current data policy framework - Support change management projects and provide consultation for data literacy, education, and training activities - Support the metadata strategy and provide input into Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and metrics related to data governance capabilities Key Behaviors and Skills Required: - Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in a services organization with data or project management experience - In-depth knowledge of data governance best practices, ISO Standards, and relevant governing bodies - Experience collaborating on data governance initiatives and working with risk management, controls, data architecture, and technology solutions - Bachelor's degree in relevant field and relevant certifications Joining LSEG means being part of a global financial markets infrastructure and data provider committed to driving financial stability and sustainable growth.
