Role Overview:

Japanese Interpreter / Translator


Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide

    real-time interpretation during client meetings

    , calls, and video conferences involving Japanese-speaking clients and our legal team.
  • Occasionally assist with translation of legal or business documents, emails, or presentations, if required.
  • Ensure all interpretation and translation is accurate, culturally appropriate, and contextually aligned, especially in sensitive or technical matters.
  • Support communication and coordination across different time zones, as needed


Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Japanese Language; or
  • Certification in Japanese language, such as

    JLPT N1 or N2

    .
  • Native Japanese speaker

    or native-level fluency in Japanese, with strong English language proficiency.
  • Minimum of 3 years of professional experience

    as an interpreter/translator, preferably in a legal, corporate, or professional services environment.
  • Deep understanding of Japanese business culture and communication protocols.
  • Flexible availability

    to accommodate meetings and engagements across multiple time zones.
