Job Title: ITAM Specialist

Location: Bangalore

Experience:

Job Summary:

We are looking for an experienced

IT Asset Management (ITAM) Specialist

to implement, manage, and optimize the

ServiceNow ITAM suite

, including

Hardware Asset Management (HAM)

and

Software Asset Management (SAM)

modules. The role will focus on maintaining accurate asset records, ensuring compliance, and streamlining asset lifecycle processes through automation and integration.

Key Responsibilities:

ITAM Administration:
Implement and manage
ServiceNow ITAM
, covering
HAM
and
SAM
modules for comprehensive asset lifecycle management.
Asset Lifecycle Management:
Oversee end-to-end asset lifecycle from procurement, deployment, maintenance, and tracking to retirement and disposal.
Configuration & Maintenance:
Configure and maintain asset models, stockrooms, consumables, vendor records, and hardware contracts within ServiceNow.
Automation & Integrations:
Automate asset discovery, inventory, and reconciliation by integrating with
CMDB
,
ServiceNow Discovery
,
SCCM
,
JAMF
,
Intune
, and other third-party tools.
Software License Compliance:
Manage software license compliance, normalization, usage tracking, and reclamation processes within SAM.
Governance & Reporting:
Generate asset reports, dashboards, and compliance metrics for audits and management insights.
Collaboration:
Work closely with
Procurement
,
IT Operations
,
Security
, and
Finance
teams to align ITAM processes with organizational policies and governance.
Continuous Improvement:
Identify opportunities to enhance data accuracy, automation, and process efficiency within ITAM workflows.

Required Skills:

Hands-on experience with
ServiceNow ITAM
, including
Hardware
and
Software Asset Management
modules.
Strong understanding of
asset lifecycle processes
from acquisition to retirement.
Familiarity with
CMDB
structures and their relationship to asset records.
Experience with
integration tools
such as
SCCM
,
JAMF
,
Intune
, or
ServiceNow Discovery
.
Working knowledge of
software licensing models
(per-user, per-device, subscription, concurrent, etc.) and compliance management.
Proficiency in
data reconciliation
,
reporting
, and
license optimization
.
Good understanding of
ITIL
and
ITSM
frameworks.
