Job Description

ey Responsibilities

1. Hardware & Network Management

  • Installation, configuration, and maintenance of desktops, laptops, printers, scanners, biometric machines, CCTV, access control, and IP phones.
  • Managing LAN/WAN, routers, switches, firewalls, Wi-Fi access points, and structured cabling.
  • Troubleshooting network connectivity issues across OPD, IPD, ICU, OT, Lab, Radiology, Pharmacy, Billing, and Admin areas.
  • Ensuring uptime of internet, intranet, and inter-department connectivity.

2. Hospital Information System (HIS) Support

  • Day-to-day support and coordination for HIS / EMR / ERP systems.
  • User creation, access control, role mapping, and password management.
  • First-level troubleshooting of HIS issues and coordination with software vendors.
  • Ensuring smooth functioning of billing, TPA, OPD/IPD, Lab, Pharmacy, and inventory modules.

3. Data Security & Backup

  • Regular data backup (local and cloud) as per hospital policy.
  • Antivirus management, system updates, and cybersecurity best practices.
  • Ensuring patient data confidentiality and compliance with IT security protocols.
  • Maintaining server health, storage systems, and backup logs.

4. CCTV & Surveillance

  • Maintenance and monitoring of CCTV systems.
  • Ensuring recording, backup, and retrieval of footage as per requirement.
  • Coordination with administration during incidents or audits.

5. Vendor & AMC Management

  • Coordination with hardware, networking, internet service providers, and software vendors.
  • Monitoring AMC schedules, renewals, and service calls.
  • Maintaining inventory of IT assets and licenses.

6. Documentation & Compliance

  • Maintaining IT asset registers, network diagrams, and configuration documents.
  • Supporting NABH / statutory audits related to IT, data security, and patient confidentiality.
  • SOP implementation and documentation for IT processes.

7. User Support & Training

  • Providing day-to-day IT support to doctors, nurses, front office, billing, lab, and admin staff.
  • Conducting basic IT and HIS usage training for hospital staff.
  • Ensuring quick resolution of issues to avoid clinical or billing delays.

Qualifications & Skills

Educational Qualification

  • Diploma / Bachelors degree in IT, Computer Science, Hardware & Networking, or related field.
  • Certification in Hardware & Networking (CCNA / MCP / CompTIA preferred).

Experience

  • 2–5 years of experience in IT & networking.
  • Prior experience in a hospital or healthcare setup is highly preferred.
