IT Technical Support Engineer

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide end-to-end technical support for PCs, peripherals, printers, networks, business applications, Microsoft OS & Office 365 suite, and mobile devices.
  • Act as the

    first point of contact

    for users via Help Desk (Zendesk) log, prioritize, and resolve issues promptly.
  • Deploy and maintain company IT assets including Desktops, Laptops, Printers, Cisco IP Phones, and mobile devices.
  • Assist in IT infrastructure improvement projects; lead initiatives where competency is demonstrated.
  • Troubleshoot day-to-day issues with quick turnaround and effective communication.
  • Prepare and maintain

    high-quality IT documentation

    .
  • Ensure adherence to IT security standards and user administration best practices.
  • Collaborate with vendors, internal teams, and end-users for issue resolution.
  • Minimal travel to support remote sites if required.
  • Mentor/train junior team members or employees when needed.

Required Skills & Competencies:

  • Strong expertise in

    Windows 10 & Microsoft 365 applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams)

    .
  • Working knowledge of

    Windows Server roles, Active Directory, DHCP

    .
  • Hands-on experience in imaging, deploying, and maintaining Windows 10 PCs.
  • Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting abilities.
  • Excellent communication and

    technical documentation

    skills.
  • Ability to multitask and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
  • Familiarity with IT support tools, automation, and service delivery practices.
  • Self-driven, customer-focused, and proactive approach.

Education & Experience:

  • Diploma / Degree in Computer Science, IT, System Administration, or related field.
  • 5+ years of IT Technical Support / Helpdesk experience (minimum 3 years in a

    manufacturing setup

    preferred).
  • IT certifications such as

    MCP / MCSA / CompTIA A+ / Network+

    will be an advantage.
  • Experience with scripting or automation tools will be an added plus.
