What will your job look like: Job Summary
The IT Support Specialist provides advanced technical assistance and support for hardware, software, and complex IT issues across multiple technology domains. This role manages escalated service requests, performs in-depth troubleshooting, and collaborates closely with IT engineering teams to resolve persistent infrastructure problems. Responsibilities include root cause analysis, knowledge base development, and full lifecycle management of IT equipment.
Key Responsibilities
  • Independently resolve cases escalated from the Service Desk with minimal supervision.
  • Perform advanced troubleshooting, collect diagnostic data, and escalate major incidents to engineering teams when necessary.
  • Develop and document

    Root Cause Analysis (RCA)

    for significant incidents.
  • Create and maintain detailed

    knowledge articles

    and

    runbooks

    for recurring issues.
  • Proactively monitor system alerts and communicate outages promptly.
  • Manage imaging, inventory, distribution, and recovery of IT equipment.
  • Provide on-site hot-hands support for IT engineering teams.
  • Coordinate with vendors for hardware and accessory shipments.
  • Ensure compliance with IT standards and contribute to process improvements
An Ideal Candidate will have: Education
  • Bachelor s degree preferred (or equivalent practical experience).
Work Experience
  • 2-4 years of relevant IT support experience preferred.
  • Prior Service Desk experience (0-2 years) is an advantage.
Certifications
  • CompTIA A+ or equivalent preferred.
  • Security+ and ITIL Foundations certifications preferred.
  • Advanced certifications (e.g., CCNA, Microsoft) are a plus
Skills Competencies
  • Strong expertise in Microsoft operating systems and Office suite.
  • Advanced knowledge of PC components and troubleshooting techniques.
  • Proficiency in case management systems and incident handling.
  • Intermediate knowledge of networking principles.
  • Working knowledge of Mac OS and Linux environments.
  • Basic understanding of cybersecurity practices.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work independently and mentor junior team members
Working Conditions
  • Standard workweek with rotating multi-shift schedules, including night shifts.
  • Mandatory on-site work at designated offices.
  • Remote work is not applicable for this role.
