IT Support & Infrastructure Specialist Location: Salt Lake, Sector V, Kolkata Full-Time | Onsite (with flexibility) About the Role We're looking for a versatile and driven IT Support & Infrastructure Specialist to join our dynamic cross-regional team supporting three fast-growing, tech-forward organizations: The Client, Quantech, and Quatred Arts . You'll be stepping into a foundational role, helping shape IT operations, infrastructure, and security practices across ~100 users in Kolkata, Toronto, and remote locations . This is a hands-on, high-ownership opportunity where you'll lead implementation and day-to-day management of Microsoft 365 (with Entra ID/Azure AD) , endpoint security via Intune & Defender , and office network troubleshooting while also building documentation and IT support systems from the ground up. Role Scope & Focus 70% : Infrastructure, Security & Cloud Operations 30% : Hands-on IT Support & End-User Services What You'll Do IT Support & Hardware Management Set up, configure, deploy, and troubleshoot laptops (Windows, macOS, Linux), desktops, and mobile devices. Provide responsive support to in-office and remote users across hardware, software, and connectivity issues. Manage IT inventory, procurement, and lifecycle. Network Administration Resolve Wi-Fi and cabling issues in the Kolkata office. Assist with maintaining routers, switches, and access points. Monitor and improve internal network performance. Microsoft 365 & Endpoint Security Administer Entra ID/Azure AD, Exchange Online, SharePoint, Intune, Teams, and Defender. Manage user provisioning, licensing, and endpoint security policies. Implement security improvements aligned with CIS framework . Security & Infrastructure Projects Lead security implementation and operational improvements (CIS-aligned). Contribute to vulnerability management and endpoint hardening. Work closely with local and global teams to roll out best practices. Process & Documentation Set up ITSM/ticketing tools and maintain internal documentation. Build scalable internal IT processes from scratch. Standardize IT onboarding/offboarding procedures. Collaboration & Communication Collaborate 12 times/week with Canadian counterparts (1-hour overlap). Partner with India team leads on planning and daily support needs. Who You Are Experienced in cross-platform IT environments (Windows/macOS/Linux) Hands-on with Microsoft 365 admin (Entra ID/Azure AD is a must ) Knowledgeable in networking (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN) Familiar with CIS or similar security frameworks Skilled in using Intune , Defender , and scripting (PowerShell, Bash, Python) Comfortable building systems and processes from the ground up Customer-focused, proactive, and organized Passionate about IT—whether through certifications, home labs, or side projects Nice-to-Haves Certifications: CompTIA A+/Network+/Security+ , Microsoft 365 , CCNA Exposure to small/mid-sized companies and IT operations at scale Basic familiarity with Azure (VMs not required), or DevOps tools Prior experience setting up ITSM tools (Freshservice, Jira, etc.) Why Join Us?
