Job Description

IT Systems Support – Roles and ResponsibilitiesAn IT systems professional in a collection organization is responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of both hardware and software systems across the organization. Their key responsibilities include: 1. Troubleshooting and SupportDiagnose and resolve issues in computer systems (both hardware and software). Provide technical support to staff across the organization. Install, configure, and update operating systems and applications. Handle network connectivity problems and ensure systems are running efficiently. 2. System MaintenancePerform routine system checks and preventive maintenance. Monitor system performance and ensure uptime. Manage user accounts, permissions, and system backups. 3. Hardware and Software ManagementInstall, configure, and maintain hardware components like desktops, printers, and servers. Ensure all systems are running licensed and up-to-date software. Replace or repair defective equipment. 4. Audit and ComplianceAssist in internal and external IT audits. Maintain all audit-related documentation, including reports and logs. Ensure compliance with IT policies, data protection, and industry regulations. Close audit findings by implementing required corrective actions. 5. DocumentationKeep detailed records of technical issues and resolutions. Maintain up-to-date documentation for systems, network layouts, and support procedures.
