It Support Engineer

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of

  Lenovo laptops and desktops

  , including component replacement and warranty coordination with OEM support teams.
• Write and execute

  SQL database queries

  for data validation, analysis, and report generation.
• Manage and troubleshoot

  Windows 11

  ,

  Ubuntu

  ,

  Citrix

  , and

  Hyper-V

  environments.
• Provide operational support for

  Azure Cloud

  ,

  Office 365

  ,

  VSA 9.0

  , and

  Backup software

  platforms.
• Monitor and maintain network performance using the

  OSI model

  and resolve network connectivity issues.
• Administer and troubleshoot

  Sophos Firewall

  , including

  rule creation

  ,

  port forwarding

  ,

  SD-WAN

  , and

  routing configurations

  .
• Support and maintain

  HPE Rack Servers

  including firmware updates, performance monitoring, and hardware diagnostics.
• Manage

  Switches, Routers

  , and

  Network cabling

  , ensuring proper connectivity and uptime.
• Monitor and troubleshoot

  APC Online UPS systems

  for power continuity and preventive maintenance.
• Document all technical procedures, configurations, and system logs as part of IT documentation and compliance.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Diploma / Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• 2–5 years of experience in IT infrastructure and support.
• Strong knowledge of

  Windows Server / Hyper-V / Citrix

  environments.
• Proficiency in

  SQL query writing

  and basic database management.
• Good understanding of

  network protocols

  ,

  OSI Layer

  , and

  firewall configurations

  .
• Hands-on experience in

  Azure

  ,

  Office 365 administration

  , and

  backup management

  tools.
• Familiarity with

  server and network hardware troubleshooting

• Excellent communication and coordination skills for OEM and vendor interactions.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate (or equivalent).
• CompTIA Network+ / Security+ or similar certification.
• Sophos Firewall certification (XG/XGS Series).

HPE Server or Lenovo hardware maintenance certification
