IT Support Engineer

You will be responsible for installing, configuring, and maintaining various operating systems, such as Ubuntu and Windows, on desktops, laptops, and servers. Your duties will include diagnosing and resolving hardware-related issues, conducting hardware upgrades and replacements, maintaining an inventory of hardware components, and providing timely technical support to end-users for both software and hardware problems. Additionally, you will assist with software installation, updates, and troubleshooting, as well as troubleshoot network connectivity issues and help in resolving network-related problems. You will also be involved in configuring and maintaining network devices like routers and switches, ensuring that all IT systems are updated with the latest security patches and antivirus definitions, and maintaining accurate records of hardware and software inventory. Collaboration with other IT team members and departments to resolve complex technical issues and communication with vendors for hardware and software issue resolution are also part of this role. To qualify for this position, you should have a Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field. Candidates with a minimum of 6 months of experience in IT support and freshers who have completed relevant training from an institute are encouraged to apply. Demonstrated experience in installing and maintaining Ubuntu and Windows operating systems, strong troubleshooting skills for hardware and software issues, familiarity with network configurations and troubleshooting, knowledge of security best practices, virus/malware protection, excellent problem-solving and communication skills, ability to work independently and in a team, and prior experience in a similar IT support role are preferred.
