IT Specialist

As an IT Specialist in our company, your role involves managing and maintaining the company's hardware, software, and network systems to ensure smooth operations. You will be responsible for diagnosing and resolving technical issues promptly, minimizing downtime for users. Your tasks will also include configuring, monitoring, and securing local area networks (LAN), wide area networks (WAN), and wireless networks. Additionally, you will install, update, and manage essential software and tools, provide technical support and training to employees, and maintain detailed documentation of IT processes and troubleshooting guides. Key Responsibilities: - System Maintenance & Support: Manage and maintain the company's hardware, software, and network systems. - Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve technical issues, ensuring minimal downtime for users. - Network Management: Configure, monitor, and secure the organizations LAN, WAN, and wireless networks. - Software Administration: Install, update, and manage essential software and tools used by the organization. - Training & Support: Provide technical support and training to employees on software and hardware usage. - Documentation: Maintain detailed records of IT processes, procedures, and troubleshooting guides. - Vendor Coordination: Liaise with external vendors for procurement, maintenance, and upgrades of IT equipment. - Backup & Recovery: Ensure proper data backup and implement disaster recovery plans to safeguard organizational data. Qualifications: - Bachelors degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field. - Minimum 1 year of experience as an IT Specialist or in a similar role. - Strong understanding of IT systems, networks, and technologies. - Proficiency in operating systems (Windows, macOS, Linux) and productivity software. - Hands-on experience with network administration and security tools. - Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Workspace) is a plus. - Excellent problem-solving and communication skills. - Ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
