IT Specialist

The responsibilities for this role include managing and maintaining the company's hardware, software, and network systems to ensure smooth operations. You will be responsible for diagnosing and resolving technical issues promptly to minimize downtime for users. Additionally, configuring, monitoring, and securing local area networks (LAN), wide area networks (WAN), and wireless networks will be part of your duties. You will also handle the installation, updating, and management of essential software and tools used within the organization. Providing technical support and training to employees on software and hardware usage, as well as maintaining detailed records of IT processes and procedures, will be crucial aspects of this role. Collaborating with external vendors for procurement, maintenance, and upgrades of IT equipment is also part of the job description. To qualify for this position, you should have a Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, along with a minimum of 1 year of experience as an IT Specialist or in a similar role. A strong understanding of IT systems, networks, and technologies is required, as well as proficiency in operating systems such as Windows, macOS, and Linux, and productivity software. Hands-on experience with network administration and security tools is essential, and familiarity with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, and Google Workspace is advantageous. Excellent problem-solving skills, effective communication abilities, and the capacity to work independently while managing multiple tasks are also important for this role.
