Job Summary

The IT Server Administrator Projects is responsible for planning, implementing, and maintaining server infrastructure to support enterprise projects and operational technology environments. This role ensures high availability, security, and optimal performance of diverse systems, including Windows and Linux servers, virtualization platforms, and specialized industrial technologies. The position requires hands-on expertise in server administration and project execution, with a focus on supporting business-critical applications and automation systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and maintain Windows and Linux server environments to meet project and organizational requirements.
• Administer and optimize virtualization platforms, primarily VMWare and Hyper-V, for efficient resource utilization and scalability.
• Configure, manage, and monitor Redis databases for high-performance caching and data storage solutions.
• Set up, manage, and secure file servers, ensuring reliable data access, backup, and recovery.
• Support and maintain the Server Environment for SCADA (Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition) systems and ASRS (Automated Storage and Retrieval Systems) ensuring seamless integration with OT (Operational Technology) networks.
• Implement and maintain Application Load Balancers and Network Load Balancers to ensure high availability and optimized performance of enterprise applications.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver IT solutions for new projects, upgrades, and migrations.
• Develop and maintain documentation for systems configurations, procedures, and project deliverables.
• Monitor system health, performance, and security; respond to incidents and perform root cause analysis.
• Ensure compliance with organizational policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements (such as cybersecurity for OT environments).

Key Skills and Competencies

• Windows Server Administration:

  Installation, configuration, patching, Active Directory, Group Policy management, and troubleshooting.

• Linux Server Administration:

  Deployment, shell scripting, security hardening, and performance tuning across major distributions (e.g., Ubuntu, CentOS, Red Hat).

• VMWare Virtualization:

  vSphere setup, VM provisioning, Cluster and HA, Replication, resource allocation, and monitoring.

• Hyper-V Virtualization:

  Hyper-V setup, VM provisioning, Cluster and HA, Replication, resource allocation, and monitoring.

• Redis:

  Installation, configuration, cluster management, backup, and performance optimization.

• File Server Management:

  SMB/NFS configuration, permissions, quotas, and data protection strategies.

• SCADA & OT Systems:

  Familiarity with industrial control systems, protocol management (e.g., Modbus, OPC), and cybersecurity practices for OT.

• ASRS Technologies:

  Understanding automated warehouse systems, integration with IT infrastructure, and troubleshooting automation hardware/software.

• Application and Network Load Balancers:

  Configuration and management of load balancing solutions (e.g., F5, NGINX, HAProxy, AWS ELB).

• Project Management:

  Ability to lead and execute IT infrastructure projects from conception to completion.

• Documentation & Communication:

  Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to create clear system documentation and project reports.

• Analytical & Problem-Solving:

  Proactive approach to diagnosing and resolving complex technical issues.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• BE/B.Tech or equivalent in Computer Sc./IT/Electronics with 8–10 years of hands-on experience in Windows and Linux server administration.
• Strong knowledge of Server & storage Implementation, DR implementation and Load Balancer implementation.
• Hands-on experience with VMware, Hyper-V, Windows Server, Linux OS, and cloud backups (AWS/Azure).
• Strong troubleshooting skills in Windows and Linux server environments to meet project and organizational requirements.

• Mandatory experience working in the manufacturing industry

  , with understanding of production-critical systems and data recovery needs.
• Familiarity with RPO/RTO metrics and BCP planning.
• Excellent troubleshooting and documentation skills.
• Certifications such as VCP, MCSE, Cloud (Azure/AWS) or equivalent are a plus.
