Role & responsibilities

T Recruiter Roles and Responsibilities (with focus on Leadership & Architect roles):

1. Talent Acquisition Strategy

  • Partner with senior leadership to understand organizational goals and translate them into hiring plans.
  • Develop strategies to attract top-tier

    technical leadership

    and

    architect-level

    talent.

2. Technical Role Understanding

  • Gain deep understanding of technical skills, architecture frameworks (e.g., TOGAF, microservices, cloud-native), and leadership competencies.
  • Work with engineering leaders to define job descriptions, ideal candidate profiles, and evaluation criteria.

3. Candidate Sourcing & Engagement

  • Source passive and active candidates through LinkedIn, GitHub, Stack Overflow, conferences, and internal referrals.
  • Build talent pipelines for future leadership and architect requirements.
  • Engage with senior candidates with a tailored, high-touch approach, emphasizing employer brand and strategic opportunities.

4. Screening and Evaluation

  • Conduct initial screenings to assess technical and leadership skills.
  • Facilitate deep technical assessments through internal tech panels or external assessment tools.
  • Evaluate cultural fit, leadership capability, and long-term alignment with company goals.

5. Stakeholder Collaboration

  • Act as a consultant to hiring managers and department heads.
  • Provide market insights on salary trends, competitor hiring, and candidate availability.
  • Coordinate and manage the entire recruitment lifecycle in collaboration with HRBPs and TA managers.

6. Offer Management & Negotiation

  • Present and negotiate competitive offers tailored to senior-level candidates' expectations.
  • Handle complex negotiations around compensation, equity, remote work, and leadership roles.

7. Employer Branding & Networking

  • Represent the company at tech meetups, leadership summits, and architecture forums.
  • Create brand awareness campaigns targeting architects and senior engineers.

8. Compliance and Reporting

  • Maintain accurate documentation and ensure adherence to internal hiring policies and local labor laws.
  • Track and report on key metrics such as time-to-hire, quality of hire, and candidate experience.

Key Skills for an IT Recruiter Focused on Leadership & Architect Roles:

  • Strong technical understanding (e.g., software architecture, cloud technologies, devops, etc.)
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Executive search experience or exposure to C-level recruitment
  • Data-driven mindset and ability to provide insights to hiring teams
