IT Network Admin

As the IT/Network Admin at Forge, reporting to the Head of Digital.Ops, your role involves managerial, administrative, and technical/engineering responsibilities related to Key Result Areas (KRAs) which include Device management, Enterprise applications, Enterprise Network and Connectivity, Technical Operations, and General Administration. **Role Overview:** You will be responsible for setting end-to-end operations for defining Network Architecture & capacity planning, vendor selection/management, commercial procurement to implementation and maintenance of the network covering all managerial, administrative, and technical/engineering responsibilities. **Key Responsibilities:** - **Digital - User Devices:** - Provisioning user desktops (laptops, desktops, lab workstations) and maintaining asset logs. - Provisioning and maintaining shared multimedia/AV devices and accessories. - Coordinating with vendors for maintenance, repairs, replacements, spares, etc. - Supporting technical specifications and evaluation of vendor quotations. - Vendor selection, commercial negotiation, and procurement procedures. - **Enterprise Application:** - Managing Google apps suite domain administration. - Installation, provisioning, and maintenance of enterprise apps. - Managing technical and vendor coordination for hosting company websites. - Technical support for digital portals/tools development/deployment. - **Enterprise Network & Connectivity:** - **Setting up new sites:** - Coordinating with vendors for network design, capacity planning, technical specifications. - Installation and Commissioning of end-to-end network with ISPs. - ISP selection, technical evaluation, commercial negotiation for procurement. - **Managing sites:** - Monitoring network performance and coordinating with ISPs. - Provisioning and configuring network admin and user device access. - Coordinating with infra vendors for maintenance, repairs, replacements. - Resolving network connectivity and wireless communication issues. - **Technical capabilities:** - Understanding hardware infrastructure, DNS, routers, firewall systems, cloud computing. - Maintenance/Installation of firewall and security systems. - Database maintenance for network system information. - Timely updates, quality checks, and policy enforcement for network efficiency. **Qualification Required:** - Minimum Diploma/bachelor's qualification (B.E) in Information Technology, Computer Science or related studies - 2-4 years of experience in managing IT infrastructure - Hands-on experience with network switches, routers, and IT asset management software - Understanding IT architecture for better network infrastructure design - Network hardware configuration, LAN knowledge, troubleshooting experience - Ability to lead and delegate to engineers and technicians Forge offers compensation above average in the social sector and continuous benchmarking against industry standards.
