Job Description

A. Hardware & Desktop Support

  • Install, configure, and maintain desktops, laptops, printers, scanners, and peripherals.
  • Diagnose and resolve hardware issues related to computers and laptops.
  • Perform system upgrades, part replacements, and preventive maintenance.
  • Maintain IT asset inventory and track hardware allocation.

B. Software & OS Support

  • Install, configure, and troubleshoot Windows OS, MS Office, email clients, and common applications.
  • Provide support for antivirus, backup tools, and basic system security.
  • Manage user accounts, passwords, and access rights.

C. Network & Connectivity

  • Monitor and maintain LAN, WAN, Wi-Fi, routers, switches, and modems.
  • Troubleshoot network connectivity, internet, and VPN-related issues.
  • Coordinate with ISPs and vendors for network or connectivity problems.
  • Ensure proper cabling and network layout within the office.

D. User Support & Helpdesk

  • Provide on-call and desk-side IT support to employees.
  • Resolve IT tickets within defined timelines.
  • Guide users on proper system usage and IT policies.
  • Provide basic training to employees on new systems or tools.

E. Security & Data Management

  • Ensure system security through antivirus, firewall, and access control.
  • Perform regular data backups and assist in data recovery.
  • Maintain confidentiality of company data and systems.

F. Vendor & AMC Coordination

  • Coordinate with hardware/software vendors and AMC service providers.
  • Track warranty, AMC renewals, and service records.

3. Required Skills & Competencies

  • Strong knowledge of computer hardware, laptops, and peripherals.
  • Hands-on experience with Windows OS, MS Office, and basic networking.
  • Understanding of LAN/WAN, TCP/IP, Wi-Fi, routers, and switches.
  • Troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Good communication and user-handling skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple issues.

4. Qualifications

  • Diploma / Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field.
  • 1–4 years of experience in IT support or desktop support role.

5. Additional Requirements

  • Willingness to provide on-site support and attend emergency IT issues.
  • Experience in manufacturing or corporate office setup is an advantage.
  • Knowledge of basic cybersecurity practices is a plus.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹18,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month

Expected hours: 48 per week
