IT Engineer

You are a highly skilled and experienced Senior IT / EDP Engineer responsible for managing and overseeing the IT infrastructure and electronic data processing systems within the organization. Your role is crucial in designing, implementing, and maintaining IT systems to ensure smooth and efficient business operations. Your technical expertise, problem-solving abilities, and understanding of the organization's IT needs are essential for success. Your key responsibilities include overseeing and maintaining IT infrastructure like servers, networks, and databases. You will lead the design and integration of IT solutions to improve business processes and support growth. Providing advanced troubleshooting and technical support for internal systems, managing software and hardware deployment, ensuring data security and backup, upgrading systems, and optimizing performance are also part of your responsibilities. Additionally, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams, provide user training, and manage EDP systems effectively. To qualify for this role, you need a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, along with 5-7 years of experience in IT systems management or network administration. Technical skills required include server management, networking knowledge, database handling, virtualization experience, IT security expertise, cloud computing familiarity, and backup strategies. Soft skills like problem-solving, communication, project management, attention to detail, and leadership are also essential. Preferred qualifications include certifications like ITIL, CCNA, or CompTIA Network+, ERP system experience, familiarity with business intelligence tools, and knowledge of IT governance best practices and data management.
