IT Asset Specialist

Role Overview: As an IT Asset Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of IT asset management within the organization. Your main focus will be on maintaining a detailed inventory of all IT assets, coordinating the acquisition of new assets, and ensuring compliance with organizational policies and vendor contracts. You will also be involved in developing cost optimization strategies, creating and implementing asset management policies, and conducting financial analysis to support decision-making. Key Responsibilities: - Maintain a detailed inventory of all IT assets, including hardware and software. - Coordinate the acquisition of new assets based on organizational needs. - Oversee the entire lifecycle of IT assets, from acquisition to disposal. - Ensure all assets comply with organizational policies and vendor contracts. - Develop strategies to optimize technology spending and eliminate waste. - Create and implement policies for asset management. - Maintain databases and records of licenses, service agreements, and warranties. - Ensure the IT department's budget is adhered to, ensuring alignment with organizational goals. - Conduct cost-benefit analyses and financial forecasting to support decision-making. - Perform any other duties as assigned. Qualifications Required: - Proven experience in IT asset management or a related field. - Strong understanding of IT asset lifecycle management. - Knowledge of compliance requirements and vendor contract management. - Excellent financial analysis and budget planning skills. - Ability to develop and implement asset management policies. - Proficiency in maintaining databases and records. - Strong communication and interpersonal skills. - Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field (preferred). - Relevant certifications in IT asset management (e.g., Certified IT Asset Manager) would be a plus.,
