Isometric Piping Fitter

Qualifications for pipefitter Minimum 4 years’ experience required in pipe fitting and pipe welding work Ability to read design drawings and diagrams is required Experience working with a variety of pipe materials and history of certification in welding is preferred Cold weather welding experience is preferred Must pass a 6G weld certification exam prior to deployment SMAW, GMAW, FCAW, GTAW welding certificates strongly preferred Set up equipment, select torch tip, flux and brazing alloy from data charts or work orders Fabricating pipe pools from isometric drawing information Fabricating pipe supports from structural drawing information Installing prefabricate pipe spools and supports from general arrangement and isometric drawings Carrying out all fabrication and installation activities in relation to specific discipline Layout, install, test, adjust, and maintain several types of piping systems and allied equipment such as pumps, heat exchangers, chemical feed systems, filters Perform new installations of plumbing and steam equipment from laying-out, ordering materials, roughing-in, and finishing work Perform preventive maintenance and corrective maintenance on a variety of piping systems and allied equipment such as compressors, vacuum pumps, strainers, grease traps, steam traps, meters, regulating valves. Previous 6G pipe weld certification at time of hire is required You will provide occasional duties as assigned within skill level You will assure that each assignment has sufficient tools, materials and supplies You will determine repairs and replacements of equipment as needed You will prioritize work for specific jobs assigned You will be responsible for planning work as assigned, assuring a high quality of the finished product
