Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role for an IP DRG professional located in Chennai. The role involves in-depth analysis and coding of patient records using appropriate DRG (Diagnosis-Related Group) and medical coding guidelines. The responsibilities include reviewing clinical documentation, ensuring compliance with regulations, generating reports, and accurately classifying diagnoses, procedures, and treatments. Collaboration with cross-functional teams and adherence to healthcare standards will be a key part of the role.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in medical coding, specifically with DRG and ICD coding systems.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail for reviewing and interpreting clinical documentation.
• Good organizational and time management abilities to meet project deadlines efficiently.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills for team collaboration and reporting.
• Familiarity with healthcare regulations, compliance standards, and related industry best practices.
• Knowledge of electronic health records (EHR) and healthcare management software is an advantage.
• Bachelor's degree in healthcare, life sciences, or a related field is preferred. Certification in medical coding (such as CPC, CCS) is highly beneficial.
