Inventory Planner

Key Responsibilities

Planning & Replenishment

• Analyze sales trends to forecast demand and plan replenishment buys across multiple channels.
  
• Set ordering cycles and issue Purchase Orders (POs) based on stock movement, demand, and seasonality.
  
• Track and monitor stock availability to ensure optimal inventory levels.
  

Inventory Health Management

• Maintain inventory health in terms of DOH (Days on Hand), OOS (Out-of-Stock), and slow/non-moving inventory.
  
• Identify underperforming SKUs and take corrective action to optimize stock movement.
  
• Monitor stock ageing and initiate clearance or reallocation strategies when required.
  

Cross-Team Coordination

• Collaborate with the Merchandising team to gather requirements for New Product Development (NPD).
  
• Work closely with sourcing, warehouse, and finance teams to align on inventory planning and budget adherence.
  

Reporting & Audit Compliance

• Maintain accurate inventory and ordering datasets for internal and external audits.
  
• Generate weekly/monthly reports on inventory status, stock trends, and PO performance.
  

Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Supply Chain, Business, Finance, or related field.
  
• 3–6 years of experience in inventory planning, demand forecasting, or merchandising operations.
  
• Strong analytical skills with proficiency in MS Excel, Google Sheets, and inventory planning tools.
  
• Well-versed in stock management, DOH/OOS/aging analysis, and PO lifecycle.
  

Preferred Attributes

• Experience in fashion, jewellery, beauty, retail, or D2C environment.
  
• Strong numerical ability and attention to detail.
  
• Ownership-driven, proactive, and comfortable working in a fast-paced brand environment.
