Job Title: Inventory Manager

Department: Logistics / Transport / Operations

Location: Kolkata

Reports To: City Lead

Job Summary:

Inventory Manager

Key Responsibilities:

1. Vehicle Inventory Management:

  • Maintain an updated inventory of all vehicles (new, active, idle, or under maintenance).
  • Ensure accurate documentation and tagging (e.g., car stickers, GPS installations) for each vehicle.
  • Perform regular audits and physical verification of inventory at all hubs.

2. Vehicle Movement & Hub Transfers:

  • Coordinate and track the inter-hub movement of vehicles.
  • Maintain vehicle movement logs with timestamps and responsible personnel details.
  • Ensure all movements are aligned with internal policies and safety protocols.

3. Key Handover & Tracking:

  • Manage key issuance and return for all vehicles.
  • Implement a foolproof tracking system to avoid any key loss or misuse.
  • Coordinate with the security and operations team during vehicle allocations.

4. Vehicle Reconciliation-

  • Conduct periodic vehicle reconciliation to identify mismatches, discrepancies, or missing assets.
  • Prepare reports and escalate unresolved issues to senior management.

5. New Vehicle & GPS Installation:

  • Coordinate with vendors and registration authorities for new vehicle onboarding.
  • Ensure all new vehicles are equipped with GPS tracking devices and updated in the central system.
  • Monitor and report GPS issues or offline statuses to the technical team.

6. Car Stickers & Branding:

  • Oversee the application and maintenance of car stickers/branding as per company standards.
  • Ensure stickers are present and in good condition on every active vehicle.

7. Ready to Lease & Regulatory Compliance:

  • Liaise with Ready to Lease officials for vehicle registration, permits, renewals, and compliance.
  • Maintain and update regulatory records to avoid any legal or operational issues.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in inventory or fleet management, preferably in the transport or automotive sector.
  • Familiarity with RTA processes and vehicle documentation.

Skills Required:

  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel, inventory tools, and GPS tracking systems.
  • Excellent communication and coordination abilities.
  • Problem-solving mindset and attention to detail.
