Job Description

Role Overview: Adventures Overland is looking for a detail-oriented and customer-focused Travel Consultant Operations to join their travel team. As a Travel Consultant Operations, you will be responsible for managing end-to-end travel arrangements for both domestic and international destinations. Your key role will involve coordinating with suppliers, ensuring seamless travel experiences for clients, handling bookings, documentation, and issue resolution. If you are passionate about travel and have a knack for operational efficiency, this role is perfect for you. Key Responsibilities: - Handle all aspects of travel arrangements, including flights, accommodations, transportation, visas, and insurance. - Process travel bookings accurately in accordance with client preferences, company policies, and budget constraints. - Communicate with travel suppliers and vendors to confirm services, negotiate rates, and manage changes or cancellations. - Maintain up-to-date records in internal CRM platforms. - Assist in itinerary planning and provide expert travel advice tailored to client needs. - Resolve customer issues, rebook travel as needed, and provide after-sales support. - Monitor travel trends, restrictions, and advisories to keep clients informed. - Support operational process improvements and assist with travel policy development. - Prepare travel documentation and post-travel reports. - Coordinate with the finance and sales departments on billing and reconciliation. - Act as an on-ground travel lead for group tours or corporate delegations, managing logistics and ensuring smooth day-to-day operations. - Negotiate and get the best price from the suppliers/vendors. Qualifications Required: - Proven work experience of a minimum of 5 years as a Travel Consultant in operations or product development. - Ability to interact, communicate, and negotiate effectively. - Sound knowledge of domestic and international travel trends. - Knowledge of Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. - Knowledge of ticketing software like Amadeus. - Bachelor's or master's degree in hospitality, Travel, Tourism, Business, or relevant field. - Good knowledge of Visas. - Fluency in English. - Hands-on experience leading travel groups will be considered an advantage. - Having driving experience will be considered an advantage.
