Interior Designer Intern

• Design Development: Assist in developing design concepts, creating mood boards, and preparing presentations with color palettes, materials, and furnishings.
• Technical Assistance: Support the creation of 2D floor plans, 3D models, and technical drawings using design software like AutoCAD, SketchUp, or similar tools.
• Material & Vendor Support: Help with material selection, sourcing samples, maintaining a library of materials, and corresponding with vendors for pricing and product information.
• Client Interaction: Attend client meetings to observe, take notes, and assist in conveying design ideas to clients.
• Project Support: Conduct research on current design trends, materials, and products, and assist with project documentation and reports.
• Site Visits: Conduct site visits to observe ongoing projects, take measurements, and ensure designs are practical.
• Administrative Tasks: Help with administrative tasks, such as scheduling, responding to inquiries, and performing clerical duties as needed.

Qualifications & Skills

• Education: A Bachelor's degree in Interior Design, Interior Architecture, or a related field is often preferred.
• Software Proficiency: Strong skills in design software such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, Adobe Photoshop, and other 3D rendering tools are typically required.
• Design Principles: A good understanding of interior design principles, detailing, and building structure.
• Organizational Skills: Excellent organizational and time management skills to manage tasks and meet deadlines.
• Soft Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with senior designers and clients.
• Creativity: A passion for creativity and a strong interest in learning about the design process.
