Role & responsibilities

  • Process insurance applications (life, health, or general) based on defined underwriting guidelines.
  • Review documents submitted by customers and verify for completeness and accuracy.
  • Enter applicant information into the underwriting system and generate case files.
  • Flag discrepancies or missing information to the underwriter or supervisor.
  • Perform basic risk screening based on rules and trigger further underwriting if needed.
  • Maintain high accuracy and turnaround times (TAT) as per SLAs.
  • Coordinate with internal teams (sales, medical, documentation) for required inputs.
  • Ensure all underwriting records are updated and maintained for audits and compliance.
