Job Description

Responsibilities:

Perform preventative maintenance and calibration of equipment and systems.
Read the reports on incomplete/pending jobs from the previous shift on issues such as major/minor breakdowns, emergencies on calibration/repair/troubleshooting from
Production, QC, R&D &/or Maintenance departments and attend to them on a priority basis
Make rounds of the plant and conduct routine/preventive maintenance of all the instruments
Install any new instrument for new project(s) as per the project requirements and handle its fabrication & fittings
Program and change settings such as trip setting, alarm setting et al of instruments as per requirements of the concerned department
Prepare a list of all spare parts relating to their present quantity/number & additional requirements & forward the same.
Assistant Manager Instrumentation for procurement
Conduct routine tests on all automation systems
Provide adequate supplementary instrument(s) in case of unavailability of spares leading to delays in repairs

Required Skills:

Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
Familiarity with hazardous area classifications and intrinsically safe equipment.
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and schematics.
Good communication and teamwork skills.
Safety-conscious and familiar with oil and gas industry safety protocols (e.g., Permit to Work systems, Lockout/Tagout).
