Injection Moulding Machine Operator

Key Responsibilities: Machine Operation: Setting up and operating injection molding machines, including adjusting machine controls (temperature, pressure, etc.) and installing molds.  Production Monitoring: Observing the molding process, ensuring parts are produced according to specifications, and making necessary adjustments to maintain quality.  Quality Control: Inspecting finished parts for defects, identifying and reporting any issues to supervisors, and ensuring adherence to quality standards.  Troubleshooting: Diagnosing and resolving problems with the molding machine or process, including identifying and addressing material or equipment malfunctions.  Maintenance: Performing routine maintenance tasks on the machines, such as cleaning, lubrication, and minor repairs, and reporting more complex issues to maintenance personnel.  Documentation: Recording production data, including cycle times, scrap rates, and downtime, and completing necessary paperwork.  Safety: Following safety procedures and maintaining a clean and organized work environment.  Collaboration: Working with other team members, such as supervisors, engineers, and quality control personnel, to improve production efficiency and address any issues.  Material Handling: Loading raw materials into the machine, removing finished parts, and potentially trimming excess material or preparing parts for packaging.  Required Skills and Qualifications: Technical Skills: Understanding of injection molding processes, machine operation, and basic mechanical principles.  Troubleshooting: Ability to diagnose and resolve problems with machinery and processes.  Quality Control: Knowledge of quality standards and the ability to identify defects.  Communication: Effective communication skills to report issues and collaborate with team members.  Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for extended periods, lift moderate weights (up to 50 lbs), and perform repetitive tasks.  Attention to Detail: Keen attention to detail to ensure quality and accuracy in production.  Safety Awareness: Adherence to safety regulations and procedures.  Experience: Prior experience in injection molding or a related manufacturing field may be required.
