Infrastructure L1 Support Engineer(Trainee)

As an Infrastructure L1 Support Engineer at our company in Trivandrum, you will play a crucial role in providing first-line technical support and ensuring the smooth operation of infrastructure services. Your responsibilities will include: - Providing first-level support for desktop/laptop issues, operating systems, applications, network connectivity, printers, and peripherals. - Monitoring infrastructure components such as servers, network, and endpoints, and reporting any abnormalities. - Performing daily system checks and routine IT tasks under supervision. - Handling user account management tasks including Active Directory, email setup, and access control. - Tracking and managing incidents and service requests through a ticketing system. - Escalating unresolved or complex issues to L2/L3 support teams with proper documentation. - Assisting with IT asset tracking, inventory updates, and hardware/software installation. - Supporting IT onboarding/offboarding activities, including provisioning and deprovisioning. - Adhering to internal SOPs, security policies, and compliance requirements. - Providing timely and professional communication to users regarding issue status and resolution. Qualifications required for this role include: - Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. - 2 years of experience in a technical support/helpdesk or infrastructure support role. - Basic knowledge of Windows OS, networking concepts, Microsoft Office, and email clients. - Understanding of Active Directory, DHCP, DNS, and basic network troubleshooting. - Familiarity with IT ticketing systems such as Keka, Zoho Desk, ServiceNow. - Good verbal and written communication skills. - Willingness to work in rotational shifts and under minimal supervision.
