**Role Title:** Viptela SD-WAN Build Engineer**Experience Level:** 5+ Years (with 2+ years in SD-WAN Deployment and Configuration)---### **Role Overview**The Viptela SD-WAN Build Engineer will be responsible for the **implementation, configuration and testing** of Cisco Viptela SD-WAN infrastructure within enterprise transformation and transition programs. The engineer will work closely with solution architects and transition leads to deploy and validate SD-WAN services across data centers, branches and cloud environments.---### **Key Responsibilities*** Implement and configure **Cisco Viptela SD-WAN components** including vManage, vBond, vSmart and edge routers (vEdge/cEdge).* Execute deployment activities based on approved Low-Level Design (LLD) and configuration templates.* Perform **SD-WAN policy configuration**, routing setup, segmentation and traffic prioritization.* Conduct **end-to-end testing** and validation of SD-WAN sites prior to migration and handover.* Support migration and transition activities in collaboration with architecture and operations teams.* Maintain and update documentation including build guides, configuration templates and runbooks.* Perform troubleshooting and root cause analysis for build-related issues during pilot and rollout phases.* Ensure configurations comply with defined security and compliance standards.---### **Required Technical Skills*** Hands-on experience with **Cisco Viptela SD-WAN** setup, configuration and troubleshooting.* Knowledge of routing protocols (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP), VPNs, NAT, QoS and traffic policies.* Understanding of WAN, MPLS, Internet, and LTE connectivity models.* Familiarity with integration of SD-WAN in **hybrid environments** (Cloud, Data Center, Branch).* Basic exposure to automation (Python/Ansible) and API-driven provisioning preferred.* Experience in creating or following **SOPs, deployment checklists** and technical documentation.---### **Professional Competencies*** Strong technical execution and troubleshooting capabilities.* Ability to follow structured implementation processes and maintain documentation accuracy.* Effective collaboration and communication with cross-functional teams.* Willingness to work in a dynamic transformation environment with changing priorities.---### **Certifications (Preferred)*** Cisco CCIE or CCNP (Enterprise or Service Provider)* SD-WAN Specialist Certification (Cisco or equivalent)---### **Expected Deliverables*** Validated and tested SD-WAN configurations* Site implementation and deployment checklists* Build and runbook documentation* Handover support to operations Qualification 15 years full time education
