Information Technology Business Analyst

Role Overview: As an IT Business Analyst with 6-9 years of experience, you will partner with business functions to define, determine, analyze, document, and communicate objectives, business requirements, and priorities for information systems and solutions. You will collaborate with application and technical experts on solution design, implementation, support, maintenance, calendar of activities (patching, updates, upgrades), and enhancement of the information systems. Key Responsibilities: - Lead the effort, in collaboration with the business, to define and document what constitutes business success for medium to large size initiatives within a single organization. - Elicit, analyze, and document functional requirements across process, information, event, socio-political, and location aspects for large initiatives. You may lead or work as part of a team to gather requirements. - Elicit, analyze, and document non-functional business requirements. - Lead or conduct requirements management activities, ensuring that the impact of changes is well understood and approved by appropriate stakeholders. - Lead or conduct solution assessment and validation to ensure functional and technical specifications meet identified business needs. - Review test plans and testing methodology to mitigate risks and participate in testing the solution to ensure it meets functional and non-functional requirements. - Conduct problem analysis as needed and escalate complex issues for additional analysis and resolution. - Act as a point of escalation for moderate to difficult problems. - Develop positive relationships with the business and other functions involved in downstream technical processes. - Coach and mentor less experienced business analysts. - Maintain strong relationships to deliver business value using relevant Business Relationship Management practices. - Proficient in MS365 applications, including SharePoint, Teams, Word.
