Informatica BDM Administrator

More than 8+ years of experience in information technology, with 6+ years spent in Informatica Platform Engineering/Administration

Proficiency in Informatica installation, configuration, and administration. Experience with scripting languages (e.g., Python, Shell) for automation. Knowledge of big data technologies such as Hadoop, and Spark. Familiarity with Agile methodologies and tools (e.g., JIRA, Confluence).

Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and in a team environment.

Informatica certification (e.g., Informatica PowerCenter Data Integration 9.x Administrator Specialist) is a plus.

Platform Management:

Install, configure, and maintain Informatica platforms including PowerCenter, Informatica DEI/BDM, and other related products.

Ensure the platform is up-to-date with the latest patches and upgrades.

Monitor platform performance and perform tuning to optimize efficiency and throughput.

Set up and manage multiple environments (development, QA, production). Implement environment cloning, backups, and disaster recovery processes.

System Administrator:

Manage user accounts, roles, and permissions to ensure secure and appropriate access. Implement role-based access control (RBAC) and maintain user access logs.

Ensure platform security by configuring and monitoring security settings.

Conduct regular security assessments and audits to detect and mitigate vulnerabilities.

Ensure compliance with organizational policies and regulatory requirements.

Maintain audit logs and generate compliance reports as needed.

Work with data engineers and analysts to understand data needs and requirements.

Provide support in data modeling, schema design, and data mapping activities.
