Qualifications:

• B.Sc. Nursing / GNM with specialized training in Infection Control.
• Certification in Infection Prevention and Control (preferred).
• Minimum 4 years of relevant experience in a hospital setting.
• In-depth knowledge of infection control protocols, hospital hygiene, sterilization, and disinfection procedures.
• Familiarity with NABH and other healthcare quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, implement, and review hospital-wide infection prevention and control policies and procedures.
• Conduct regular infection control audits and surveillance activities.
• Educate and train hospital staff on infection prevention practices, hand hygiene, PPE usage, sterilization techniques, and outbreak management.
• Investigate and report hospital-acquired infections (HAIs) and suggest remedial actions.
• Monitor compliance with NABH and other applicable accreditation standards.
• Participate in hospital infection control committee meetings and contribute to quality improvement initiatives.
• Provide guidance during outbreaks or suspected infection-related incidents.
• Maintain up-to-date records and generate timely reports for management and health authorities.
