EMG Technician

Education : Diploma / Degree Experience Required : 0 - 1 year Key Responsibilities: Conduct EMG and Nerve Conduction Studies as ordered by physicians. Prepare patients for procedures, explaining the process and ensuring comfort throughout the study. Attach electrodes and operate EMG equipment in accordance with standard protocols. Monitor and record test results, recognizing and documenting abnormal findings. Ensure proper cleaning, maintenance, and calibration of EMG equipment. Assist physicians during procedures when necessary. Maintain accurate and confidential patient records. Comply with all safety, infection control, and HIPAA regulations Working Conditions: May require occasional evening or weekend shifts based on patient scheduling needs. Direct patient interaction, including working with individuals with limited mobility or discomfort.
