Industrial Gas Operations (IGOP) Manager

Role & Responsibilities

1. Operations Management

• Oversee the daily operations of industrial gas production, storage, and distribution (e.g., SiH, NH, H, N, PH, BH, HF, HCl, O, Ar, SF).
• Ensure proper gas mixing, pressure control, and quality specifications for manufacturing processes.
• Monitor gas consumption trends and optimize supply effciency.

2. Safety & Compliance

• Enforce strict adherence to safety protocols, including leak detection, fire suppression, explosion prevention, and PPE.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA, PESO, NFPA, and other regulatory bodies.
• Conduct regular risk assessments, audits, and safety drills for emergency preparedness.

3. Equipment Maintenance & Reliability

• Oversee the maintenance and troubleshooting of gas compressors, storage tanks, vaporization systems, piping, and distribution networks. • Implement preventive & predictive maintenance schedules to minimize downtime.
• Work closely with technicians and engineers to resolve operational issues.

4. Team Management & Training

• Lead a team of Engineers, Technicians, and Operators in shift-based operations.
• Provide training on gas handling, safety procedures, and troubleshooting.
• Ensure proper documentation of SOPs and promote a culture of continuous improvement.

5. Vendor & Inventory Management

• Liaise with gas suppliers, vendors, and maintenance contractors for uninterrupted supply.
• Maintain inventory of industrial gases, spare parts, and safety equipment.
• Optimize procurement and manage cost-eAicient inventory planning. 6. Emergency Response & Incident Management
• Develop and implement emergency response plans for gas leaks, pressure failures, fires, and hazardous incidents.
• Conduct regular emergency drills with the Utility Safety Supervisors (UTTS) team.
• Maintain an incident log and ensure root cause analysis & corrective actions are taken.
