As an Industrial Engineer (IE HEAD) at our Erode location, with 7 to 10+ years of experience and a Textile related or relevant degree (Diploma / BE / B.Tech), you will have the following key responsibilities: - Develop and implement efficient manufacturing processes to optimize production output while maintaining quality standards. - Conduct time and motion studies, capacity analysis, and line balancing to improve efficiency and reduce production costs. - Lead the team towards continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity, reduce waste, and increase throughput. - Design ergonomic workstations and minimize workplace injuries using engineering principles and techniques. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement automation and technology solutions for improved efficiency and quality. - Analyze production data and performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and develop action plans accordingly. - Provide training and guidance to production staff on best practices for process optimization and efficiency improvement. - Implement and maintain standards for work methods, work instructions, and standard operating procedures. - Drive a culture of innovation, excellence, and continuous improvement within the industrial engineering team and across the organization. - Stay current with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in industrial engineering and Textile products manufacturing. - Evaluate staff performance, conduct new operator skill assessments, ensure floor discipline, identify training needs, and manage career developments. - Calculate cost-effective SMV for garment costing and ensure production-friendly garments during sample development. - Set KPIs and monitor the performance of production-related employees and workers. - Simplify manufacturing processes to increase efficiency and productivity of all orders. - Ensure proper utilization of resources and have strong knowledge in Lean Manufacturing Principles. - Preferred expertise in the woven manufacturing industry.
