Lead Incident Manager

Role Overview:

We are seeking an experienced

Incident Manager

with a strong background in the Indian banking domain. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing and resolving major incidents impacting business-critical banking applications, ensuring minimal service disruption and timely communication with stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead the end-to-end incident management process for core and digital banking applications.
Perform technical triage to identify the layer (infrastructure, middleware, application, or database) where issues occur.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive quick resolution of incidents and minimize downtime.
Communicate incident updates and post-incident reports to stakeholders and management.
Analyze recurring incidents and propose preventive measures for long-term stability.
Ensure compliance with internal and regulatory standards for IT operations within the banking environment.

Required Skills & Experience:

5 7 years of hands-on experience in
incident management
within the
banking sector
.
Strong understanding of
core banking applications
such as
Finacle
.
Technical knowledge across IT layers (application, database, middleware, infrastructure).
Solid experience with
digital banking
and
payment systems
.
Excellent
communication, leadership, and stakeholder management
skills.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Preferred Skills:

ITIL certification
or equivalent in incident/problem management frameworks.
Working knowledge of other banking applications:
Finastra, Wealth Management, AML
, etc.
Experience with
monitoring tools
such as
Dynatrace
.
Familiarity with
banking security standards
and
regulatory compliance
.
Hands-on experience with
incident management tools
(e.g., ServiceNow, Remedy).
