Implementation Coach - Product Development & Procurement

In this role, you will have the opportunity to work on complex and pressing challenges, collaborating with curious, ambitious, and determined leaders who are constantly striving to improve. Your primary focus will involve working directly with client leaders and front-line operators to address crucial implementation issues and drive changes essential for achieving organizational goals. Key Responsibilities: - Collaborate with consulting teams to solve complex problems in product development and procurement - Engage in activities such as margin transformation, EBITDA improvement, product design rationalization, sourcing strategy development, and cost estimation - Support new product development by reducing time and cost, improving quality attributes, and conducting surveys for process enhancement - Work on design-to-cost, global sourcing, supplier development, negotiation, cost-saving strategies, and procurement transformation initiatives As part of the product development & procurement hub, you will be based in one of the India offices (Bangalore, Chennai, Delhi, Gurgaon or Mumbai). Your role will involve close collaboration with client leaders and operators to drive successful changes aligned with organizational goals. Qualifications Required: - Bachelor's degree in engineering; preference for a master's degree (MBA/M.Tech/ME/MS) in the relevant domain - 4-8 years of experience in areas such as product development, product cost optimization, strategic sourcing, supplier development, cost reduction, negotiations, etc., with a preference for industries like automotive, semiconductors, and consumer electronics - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to independently structure solutions - Eagerness to learn and grow within a dynamic, self-led organization - Willingness to travel extensively to client sites - Effective communication skills in English, both verbal and written As part of McKinsey Implementation, you will play a crucial role in supporting clients to achieve and sustain the benefits of recommended changes.
